The Nude Jason Leak Has GTA 6 Fans Playing Detective — and 3% of Them Are Paying for More
It has been roughly 48 hours since Cyberleek dropped a 24-minute video in which, per Polygon’s count, over half the runtime follows a completely nude Jason Duval riding around Leonida. We covered what’s in the video when it landed, and the fine print — the developer-menu tell that puts an asterisk on everything — the morning after. But the story didn’t end there. The internet has now moved past the shock and deep into the forensics, and the debate has produced conspiracy theories, anatomy discourse, and a pay-to-vote poll that a small, committed minority is spending real money to lose.
What Happened
Quick recap for the spoiler-cautious: the video — which circulated widely starting Thursday, October 8 — is the longest unauthorized look at GTA 6 ever, and it is not safe for work, your timeline, or your launch-month experience. The original links have already gone dark, but as Polygon notes, the footage is hosted on a decentralized platform, meaning it effectively can’t be scrubbed from circulation. About ten minutes in, Cyberleek cuts away from motorbike gameplay and loads a buck-naked Jason into the game; the gameplay continues that way for another ten minutes, rendered with what Kotaku politely calls anatomical commitment and what everyone else calls full physics.
That last detail is where the fandom’s collective brain broke. Rockstar precedent exists: Red Dead Redemption 2 famously simulated testicular physics on its horses back in 2018, to the delight of a generation of coverage. Jason’s anatomy, fans observed, shifts and moves as he does — which means somebody, at some point during the most expensive game ever made, modeled and animated it on purpose. One Reddit user’s instantly-viral musing: “I wonder if Jason’s balls will also change according to the temperature.” For the record: unknown. We are as surprised as you are that this is a sentence this job requires.

GTA 6 Fans Have Become Forensic Analysts
The bigger conversation isn’t the nudity itself — ratings boards already confirmed GTA 6 carries sex and nudity descriptors, and an IGN report described a Jason shower scene where camera angles deliberately keep things out of view. The question everyone is actually arguing about: is any of this real gameplay? As Polygon reports, fans are torn, and the conspiracy theories are flying.
Exhibit A: the tank. Mid-video, a military tank simply appears on the map, floats above a waterfall, and drops when Jason shoots it. Tank cheats were a staple of classic GTA but were dropped entirely in GTA 5, and GTA 6 reads as a more grounded game than either — so a cheat code looks dubious. The more likely explanation is the one Eurogamer flagged and we covered in depth: whoever is playing has access to a dev kit or debug menu, which is exactly how you spawn a tank out of thin air.
Exhibit B: the NPCs. Rockstar has spent the entire preview cycle bragging about reactive NPCs — characters who notice context and respond to it. Yet in the footage, bystanders don’t react to a nude man on a motorcycle at all; they only respond when Jason antagonizes them. Their total indifference is being read as evidence that the nude state isn’t a real player state the game recognizes. One popular theory says Cyberleek simply loaded Jason with the body of one of the game’s nudist-camp NPCs — a location type this same leaker showed off back in August.
Exhibit C: the seams. Weapon animations don’t account for the nudity. Cutscenes render characters exactly as they’re played — which raises the question of whether Rockstar would truly stage a pivotal story moment with everything on display. And parts of the gameplay are in first-person, a feature Rockstar has never confirmed for GTA 6. “Doesn’t some of it seem a little suspicious?” one fan asked in a Reddit thread picking the footage apart, and the replies largely agreed. Stack it all up and the honest read is the one the fine print has been pointing at since minute one: this is a development build, played with development tools, and nothing in it should be treated as a preview of the shipping game.
The Poll Nobody Asked For
And then there’s the part where the saga tips from strange to grimly funny. Per Polygon, Cyberleek is currently hosting a poll for the next bit of footage to post, and one of the options is watching Jason take on a side quest while naked. The fandom’s response has been open pleading: entire Reddit threads begging each other not to vote for it, on the entirely reasonable grounds that nobody needs 2026 to end that way.
The poll is pay-to-vote — continuing the monetization pattern we flagged in the leaker’s last video, when the sign-off pivoted from crypto schemes to a funding pitch for an unspecified “project.” The current state of the vote, per Polygon: options for watching Lucia on a side mission or with third-person gameplay are leading, which is both the wholesome outcome and, frankly, the journalistically useful one. And a hilarious-slash-bleak 3% of voters are going against the grain and spending real-world dollars to see more of Jason. As Polygon puts it: the heart wants what it wants.

What This Means for GTA 6
For the game itself: nothing, and that’s the point. GTA 6 launches November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S — confirmed, unchanged, and unmoved by any of this. Rockstar has already called the leak situation “heartbreaking” for the development team, and the enforcement machinery keeps grinding: Take-Two’s investigation has produced subpoenas and takedowns, and the wider crackdown has entangled the ShinyHunters hacking group. The original video links dying within days is that campaign working at the edges — even if decentralized hosting means the footage itself circulates on.
For players, the practical read is unchanged: with about five weeks to launch, spoiler hygiene is a you problem now. Mute your keywords, curate your feeds ruthlessly, and keep our spoiler-light survival guide close. And if you’d rather vote with your wallet for the finished, rated, debug-menu-free version of the game: pre-order GTA 6 for PS5 on Amazon here, or grab the Xbox Series X|S version here. That’s one poll where 100% of the money goes to something real.
The Last Stretch
We’ll keep sorting the signal from the spectacle while the countdown runs — clearly labeled, spoiler-light, and free of anything you can’t unsee. For the deep background on how we got here, our coverage of the 25-minute leak itself and the dev-menu detail that reframed it are the two pieces to read in that order. And if the poll system eventually crowns a winner, you already know where to find the breakdown.
