GTA 6 NEWS · BURGER SHOT GOES IRL

Burger Shot Is Real: GTA 6 Is Turning a Florida Burger Chain Into Vice City’s Finest Through New Year’s

For more than two decades, Burger Shot existed only as satire — a fast-food punchline in GTA’s fictional universe, all flame-grilled menace and zero calories. As of this week, you can eat there. Rockstar Games has partnered with burger company Skinny Louie to promote GTA 6, and per GameSpot’s report on October 23, every Skinny Louie location in Florida will convert into a real-life Burger Shot starting in early November — with the campaign running straight through December 31. A Burger Shot stand is already live at Miami’s Kaseya Center, where social posts from the rollout show staff in Burger Shot gear serving smash burgers in branded bags. The line between Leonida and Florida is now officially seasoned.

What Happened: Every Skinny Louie Becomes a Burger Shot

Here’s the shape of the deal as GameSpot lays it out. Rockstar and Skinny Louie have announced a partnership to promote GTA 6, during which the chain’s stores convert to Burger Shot — the long-running Burger King parody inside the world of Grand Theft Auto. The first location is already operating at the Kaseya Center, the downtown Miami arena where the Heat play, with the wider rollout hitting every Skinny Louie location in Florida in early November. The campaign runs through the end of the year — December 31 — meaning the transformation outlives the game’s November 19 launch by six weeks.

The converted stores will serve a menu “straight out of Vice City,” which in practice means smash burgers, fries, and drinks — Skinny Louie’s signature format wearing Burger Shot’s clothes. And this being 2026, you won’t even need to leave the couch that GTA 6 is about to claim: people in South Florida can order the GTA 6 burgers in store or have them delivered. Photos circulating from the Kaseya Center stand since it was unveiled during a Heat game show the full commitment level — Burger Shot signage, employees in themed shirts and hats, and food handed over in properly branded packaging. This is not a vinyl decal on a window; it’s a full costume change.

And Burger Shot isn’t even the only GTA brand with a real-world Miami address anymore. GameSpot notes that Cluckin’ Bell — the series’ fried-chicken counterpart — already has an in-real-life presence at the Kaseya Center too. Whether Cluckin’ Bell escapes the arena and spreads across Florida the way Burger Shot is about to is, for now, unknown.

Burger Shot: A Brief History of GTA’s Hungriest Parody

If you’ve never eaten at a Burger Shot, congratulations — you’ve never been wanted by the LCPD. The chain is one of GTA’s oldest running gags: a fast-food empire that has anchored the series’ satirical Americana since the 3D era, with storefronts dotting the map since the original Vice City in 2002 — back when Tommy Vercetti could duck in for a health top-up between property acquisitions. Its mascot-driven, slogan-soaked identity is Rockstar’s Burger King riff, just as Cluckin’ Bell takes aim at the Colonel’s empire. These brands are world-building glue: fictional enough to be legally safe, recognizable enough to make GTA’s America feel depressingly accurate.

That’s precisely why this partnership works as marketing. GTA fans don’t need an explainer on what a Burger Shot is — the joke arrives pre-installed after 20+ years of drive-bys past its storefronts. Turning the parody physical lets Rockstar market GTA 6 without showing a single frame of gameplay: the brand itself is the advertisement, and the punchline is that you can now hold it in your hand, extra napkins on request. Miami has effectively become a Vice City preview build you can walk around in — sign on the arena, beer in the cooler plans, burgers on the grill.

The Miami Takeover Keeps Escalating

The burgers are just the latest course in a full tasting menu of GTA 6 brand saturation. The ‘Welcome to Vice City’ sign was airlifted onto the roof of the Kaseya Center in September in a deal worth $975,000 to Miami-Dade County, and it’s been fully lit since October 1 — it stays up through April 2027. GTA 6 marketing has surface at local beaches and hotels. Even the federal government accidentally joined the campaign, when a US alcohol regulator approved the label for a real Pißwasser beer before Rockstar announced anything. Add the official merch store and now a state-wide burger rebrand, and Florida in Q4 2026 is functionally a GTA 6 theme park with a coastline.

It hasn’t happened without friction. GameSpot notes that some local lawmakers are pushing back on the city’s embrace of Rockstar’s money, arguing that in taking it, Miami is signing on to “depicting Miami like a murder capital.” Other local lawmakers counter, bluntly: it’s just a video game. That tension — a city simultaneously cashing checks from and clutching pearls at its most famous fictional tenant — is exactly the dissonant energy Vice City has been satirizing since 2002. Reality is doing Rockstar’s writing for it.

What This Means for GTA 6

First: Rockstar is erasing the line between game world and real world harder than any launch ever has. Most game marketing puts the product in front of you — trailers, billboards, pre-order pages. GTA 6 marketing is making the fiction temporarily true: the parody beer exists, the parody burger joint exists, the city sign says Vice City. By launch day, a tourist in Miami could drink the beer, eat the burger, and photograph the sign without ever touching a controller. That’s not an ad campaign; it’s a soft-launch of the setting.

Second: the in-game brands are the point. Rockstar spending real money to build physical Burger Shots tells you the fictional brands of GTA 6 aren’t background texture — they’re assets the company expects fans to arrive already attached to. Expect Vice City’s cuisine to be a bigger deal in the game than it was in GTA 5, where food was mostly set dressing. The restaurants fans visit in Florida this November are, functionally, onboarding.

Third: the campaign calendar says everything about launch confidence. The Burger Shot conversion runs through December 31 — six weeks past launch, deep into the holidays, with zero contingency built in for anything other than the game being out, enormous, and talked about. After two years of release-date drama, the marketing footprint is now betting the restaurant bill on November 19. It’s the same quiet confidence as the countdown milestones we tracked in September — just add fries.

So: if you’re in Florida from early November, you can eat the game’s food before you play the game. Smash burger under the glow of the Welcome to Vice City sign, Pißwasser on the menu where licensed, and then home to the real thing on November 19. If your pre-order isn’t locked yet, GTA 6 on PS5 and on Xbox Series X|S are both live. Just remember what every Burger Shot customer since 2002 has learned the hard way: the meal looks better on the menu board. The game, we suspect, won’t have that problem.

Burger Shot: early November through December 31, at every Skinny Louie in Florida. GTA 6: November 19, everywhere.
