Love Fist

The biggest band in Vice City. Scottish hair metal at its finest (and worst).

LOVE FIST! We’re gonna rock Vice City till it BLEEDS!

Who They Were

Love Fist is Vice City’s most famous fictional band — a Scottish hair metal group that parodies every excess of 1980s rock ‘n’ roll. Led by frontman Jezz Torrent, the band is loud, obnoxious, drug-addled, and absolutely essential to Vice City’s identity.

Tommy’s involvement with Love Fist comes through Kent Paul, who claims to be their manager. The band is being targeted by a stalker, and Tommy is hired as their bodyguard/driver. The missions are pure chaos: protecting the band from assassination attempts, driving a limo rigged with a bomb that detonates if the speed drops below a certain point, and dealing with the band’s endless backstage drama.

Love Fist’s music is a staple of V-Rock, Vice City’s rock radio station. Songs like “Fist Fury” and “Dangerous Bastard” capture the absurdity of the era — big hair, bigger egos, and guitar solos that go on forever. The band members are walking stereotypes: the egomaniacal lead singer, the silent guitarist, the drummer who’s always high, and the bassist nobody remembers.

Legacy

Love Fist is one of GTA’s greatest original creations — a fictional band so perfectly realized that they feel like a real band you’ve somehow never heard of. Their music, their drama, their missions — it all contributes to Vice City feeling like a living, breathing world with its own culture and history.

The band also represents Vice City’s deep connection to music. The original game’s radio stations are legendary, and Love Fist is the embodiment of that musical DNA. GTA 6 inherits this through the Only Raw Records subplot — music has always been at the heart of Vice City.

Could They Return in GTA 6?

Love Fist should absolutely be referenced in GTA 6. Here’s why:

  • Love Fist could appear as a legacy rock act — older, grayer, but still touring. A reunion concert in Vice City would be perfect fan service.
  • Their music on a classic rock radio station — a direct callback to V-Rock from the original game.
  • The band’s story parallels GTA 6’s music subplot: Dre’Quan Priest and Only Raw Records are the modern equivalent — young artists trying to make it in Vice City’s music scene.
  • From hair metal to hip-hop — the evolution of Vice City’s music scene across 40 years.
  • A Love Fist poster, t-shirt, or vinyl record as an in-game collectible would be the ultimate easter egg.

Trivia

  • The band is a parody of 1980s hair metal acts like Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, and Poison.
  • Lead singer Jezz Torrent is voiced by Kevin McKidd (Grey’s Anatomy, Trainspotting).
  • Love Fist songs on V-Rock include ‘Fist Fury,’ ‘Dangerous Bastard,’ and ‘Down Down Down.’
  • The bomb-rigged limo mission is one of the most tense and memorable missions in Vice City.
  • The band was referenced in GTA V through in-game radio and easter eggs.
  • Their name is a double entendre that perfectly captures the crude humor of Vice City.

Status: Band exists in GTA universe (members’ fates unknown) | Voice Actor: Kevin McKidd (Jezz Torrent) + ensemble
