Overview
The Molotov Cocktail is Vice City’s improvised fire bomb — a bottle of gasoline with a rag stuffed in the neck. Light it, throw it, watch the world burn. Cheap, effective, and chaotic. The weapon of the people.
The Molotov is the most basic incendiary device in the game. No launcher required. No military contacts needed. Just a bottle, some fuel, and a spark. When it hits the ground, flames burst outward in a radius, igniting everything — and everyone — nearby.
How It Could Tie Into GTA 6
Molotov cocktails are confirmed for GTA 6 — Trailer 2 shows fire effects, and improvised weapons fit the survival/criminal narrative. The chemistry system in GTA 6 could allow players to craft Molotovs from found materials.
Fire is a confirmed mechanic in GTA 6, with grass and environmental fires shown in trailers. The Molotov would interact with these systems — igniting fields, spreading through buildings.
Tactics
Throw into groups of enemies for maximum impact.
Use to block pathways — the fire creates a temporary barrier.
Don’t throw too close — the splash radius will burn you too.
