Washington Beach
Overview
Washington Beach is the transition zone in Vice City — where the beachfront meets the commercial district. Part residential, part commercial, and home to the Police Headquarters. Yes, the police station is here. Plan accordingly.
Washington Beach is strategically important: it connects Ocean Beach to Vice Point and houses the central police station. Breaking into (or out of) the police HQ is one of Vice City’s most memorable missions.
In the Game
Key locations include the police headquarters (site of the Cam Jones breakout mission), the Malibu Club (the nightclub Tommy can acquire), and the central connection point between beach areas and downtown.
The Malibu Club is one of the most iconic locations in Vice City — a nightclub that captures the excess and glamour of ’80s Miami nightlife.
Then vs Now
Washington Beach in 1986 was a developing area. In GTA 6, the equivalent zone is fully developed, with nightlife districts expanded and police presence modernized.
Real-World Inspiration
Based on Mid-Beach / Collins Avenue area of Miami Beach.
The Malibu Club is inspired by the Babylon Club from Scarface (1983).
