Rural & Wilderness · GTA 6 · Ambrosia County (Northeast Leonida)

Ambrosia

OFFICIAL SCREENSHOTS

Overview

Ambrosia is a rural inland town in the heart of Leonida — where American industry and old-school values still reign supreme. The Allied Crystal sugar refinery provides the jobs, while the local biker gang provides almost everything else.

Ambrosia is Leonida’s answer to rural Florida — the agricultural interior that tourists never see. Sugar cane fields, refineries, and small-town dynamics where everyone knows everyone and nobody talks to outsiders.

Rockstar’s description: ‘The battle for the health and wealth of Leonida begins here.’ This isn’t just a rural backdrop — it’s a frontline in the story of who controls Leonida’s future.

In the Game

The Allied Crystal sugar refinery is the economic anchor — providing jobs and a cover for whatever the biker gang is really doing. Rural areas in GTA have always been sites of hidden operations.

Ambrosia’s biker gang connects to the broader criminal ecosystem of Leonida — drugs, weapons, and the kind of deals that happen far from city oversight.

Then vs Now

The original Vice City had no rural area — the map was entirely urban. GTA 6’s Ambrosia represents the massive expansion of the game world, bringing the rural interior of Leonida (Florida) to life for the first time.

Real-World Inspiration

Based on rural inland Florida — the area around Lake Okeechobee, including towns like Clewiston (home to US Sugar) and Belle Glade.

Florida’s sugar industry is centered on the area south of Lake Okeechobee.

These rural communities are culturally distinct from coastal Florida — more Southern, more agricultural.

Trivia

  • Allied Crystal is based on Florida’s real sugar industry (US Sugar / Florida Crystals).
  • Rural Florida has a significant biker gang presence.
  • The sugar industry has been linked to political corruption in Florida.
