Kent Paul

Self-proclaimed band manager. British in Vice City. Useless and somehow essential.

Alright mate? Kent Paul. I manage bands. I know things. I’m very well connected in Vice City, y’know what I mean?

Who They Were

Kent Paul is a fast-talking, name-dropping British “band manager” who drifts through Vice City’s nightlife scene claiming to know everyone and everything. He’s the comic relief you can’t get rid of — annoying, yes, but genuinely useful when you need information about Vice City’s underground.

Paul claims to manage Love Fist, Vice City’s most famous (fictional) rock band. Whether he actually manages them or just hangs around them is debatable. What’s not debatable is that Paul knows people — drug dealers, club owners, musicians, and criminals. When Tommy needs information about Vice City’s underworld, Paul is the guy who “hears things.”

Paul’s missions involve protecting Love Fist from a stalker, chauffeuring the band around Vice City (including a memorable mission where you drive a fuel-leaking limo), and navigating the chaotic world of ’80s music industry excess. He’s a source of intel, comic relief, and British slang in equal measure.

After Vice City, Paul reappears in GTA: San Andreas (1992) alongside Ken Rosenberg at Caligula’s Casino in Las Venturas — still talking too much, still claiming connections he may or may not have, still somehow surviving situations that should kill him.

Legacy

Kent Paul is the annoying friend you can’t live without — the guy who’s completely useless 90% of the time but delivers the critical piece of information at the exact right moment. He’s the glue between Vice City’s criminal underworld and its music scene.

His connection to Love Fist ties into Vice City’s legendary radio culture — a thread that GTA 6’s music industry subplot (Dre’Quan Priest, Only Raw Records, Real Dimez) directly inherits.

Could They Return in GTA 6?

Paul was alive in 1992. In 2026, he’d be around 60-65 years old — an aging British music industry veteran. His connection points to GTA 6 are strong:

  • GTA 6’s music industry subplot — Dre’Quan Priest, Boobie Ike, Only Raw Records — is the modern equivalent of the Love Fist storyline Paul was part of.
  • An elderly Kent Paul could appear as a washed-up music manager — a cameo connecting the ’80s music scene to the modern one.
  • Love Fist could be referenced as a legacy rock act. Their music might appear on a classic rock radio station.
  • The archetype — the know-nothing-know-everything hanger-on — lives on in GTA 6’s Cal Hampton (the paranoid conspiracy theorist who “hears things”).

Trivia

  • Kent Paul narrates the Vice City radio stations in GTA: Vice City Stories.
  • His full name is Kent Paul, but he introduces himself as ‘Kent Paul, vice city, representing, y’know what I mean?’
  • The Love Fist limo mission — driving a bomb-rigged vehicle that explodes if you slow down — is a homage to the movie Speed.
  • Paul and Ken Rosenberg’s partnership in San Andreas is a fan-favorite comedic duo.
  • He claims to be from Kent, England — hence ‘Kent Paul’.

Status: Alive (last seen in 1992 in GTA: San Andreas) | Voice Actor: Danny Dyer
