The GTA 6 Album Leak Named Cardi B and Fuerza Regida — Then It Vanished
With 45 days to launch, the GTA 6 information machine has mostly moved on from trailers to fine print — and the fine print is where leaks live. The latest: a placeholder tracklist for GTA 6: The Album on Spotify briefly showed two artist names nobody was supposed to see yet — Cardi B and Fuerza Regida — before vanishing almost as quickly as it appeared. ScreenRant picked up the relay after the names were spotted by X user Gameide4 and circulated by videotech, and the wider trail has since been corroborated by player.one and ComicBook.com. Treat it as a rumor — an extremely well-photographed rumor.
What Happened: A Placeholder Tracklist Spilled Two Names
Here’s the anatomy of the leak, as reconstructed from the coverage. Spotify’s listing for GTA 6: The Album — the companion soundtrack we covered when Rockstar announced it on September 17 — uses placeholder entries for the tracks that haven’t been revealed yet. At some point this week, two of those placeholders resolved into real names: Cardi B on one slot, Fuerza Regida on another, sitting at tracks 10 and 19 of the running order. No song titles, no features, no artwork — just the names, attached to two of the album’s unrevealed slots.
Then the cleanup began. The names were scrubbed from the listing shortly after screenshots started circulating, which is the classic signature of an accidental data push — a metadata sync that went live a beat too early — rather than a deliberate reveal. Nobody has confirmed anything: neither Rockstar Games, nor Take-Two, nor Spotify has commented, and the two artist names are back to being unconfirmed placeholders. Reports also conflict on which artist sat on which track number, so we’re not going to pretend that detail is settled.

Why does this matter? Because the album’s architecture is already public knowledge, and this leak fills two of its biggest blanks. GTA 6: The Album is a 34-track companion release made of original music for the game, six of which you can stream right now. The officially confirmed roster so far: Yung Lean, Travis Scott, CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, Morgan Wallen, and Rauw Alejandro. That’s five named acts — which leaves a lot of runway for the kind of headliners a placeholder tracklist can’t hide.
Why Cardi B and Fuerza Regida Both Make Perfect Sense
Start with Cardi B, because she’s the name that would have leaked eventually no matter what. GTA radio has always been a hip-hop institution — Radio Los Santos and West Coast Classics carried GTA 5, and Vice City’s 2002 soundtrack put the genre’s golden era on the map for a generation of players. A modern, Miami-flavored GTA without a current-charting rap superstar would honestly be stranger than one with Cardi B on it. Her whole persona — loud, funny, louder-than-the-haters, unbothered — is already basically a GTA radio host waiting for a station slot.
Fuerza Regida is the more interesting pick, and the one that tells you Rockstar has been paying attention. The California-based band is one of the acts credited with popularizing corridos tumbados — regional Mexican music fused with hip-hop and trap production — which has spent the last few years becoming one of the biggest streaming genres on the planet. And this is Leonida we’re talking about: a fictional Florida whose real-world counterpart is nearly a third Latino, where the original Vice City already carried Latin music on stations like Espantoso back in 2002. A corridos tumbados act on a modern Vice City soundtrack isn’t a curveball — it’s the most Florida thing Rockstar could possibly do.

There’s also a structural reason to believe the leak regardless of who confirms it: original music is clearly a pillar of this release, not an afterthought. The album got a full announcement cycle — streaming rollout, physical CD and vinyl releases including a limited magenta pressing — weeks before the game itself ships. You don’t build that apparatus around five artists. The roster is stacked by design, and Cardi B and Fuerza Regida are exactly the caliber of name that design implies.
The Album Isn’t the Radio — and That’s the Good News
One caveat worth repeating from the album’s announcement: GTA 6: The Album is a companion release, not a tracklist dump of the game’s radio stations. Rockstar has promised the “next evolution of in-game radio” plus a dynamic score, and songs heard in trailers and the Netflix extended look aren’t guaranteed to appear on the album at all — and vice versa. The album is the headline act; the radio is the ecosystem. If Cardi B and Fuerza Regida are on the album, the smart money says their music also lives somewhere in-game, but that part is inference, not confirmation.
It also fits the pattern of the last month. Spotify was already teasing the GTA 6 partnership with co-branded billboards before the album was even formally announced, which tells you the streaming platform is woven into this launch’s marketing bones. A placeholder tracklist syncing early on Spotify’s side, of all places, is very on-brand for how this rollout has gone.
What This Means for GTA 6
The soundtrack is being treated like a product launch. A 34-track original album, six tracks streamable pre-launch, physical vinyl pressings, Spotify billboards, and now A-list leaks weeks ahead of release — that’s a rollout strategy, not a merch table. Music has always been half of GTA’s identity, and Rockstar is spending like it.
Expect more placeholder “accidents.” If the tracklist metadata is already populated on Spotify’s side with unannounced names, this will not be the last scrub-and-screenshot cycle. The remaining confirmed slots are a fraction of 34 tracks, and every one of them is a leak waiting to happen between now and November 19.
The radio might be the best character in the game. Between a re-engineered weather system, a living NPC population, and a soundtrack pulling from Travis Scott to corridos tumbados, GTA 6 is aiming to make the drive itself the main event. The 2002 Vice City soundtrack is still talked about 24 years later; the bar for its sequel’s radio is “generational” and nothing less.
Forty-five days. GTA 6 lands November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S — confirmed, unchanged, and closing fast. Pre-order GTA 6 for PS5 on Amazon or lock in the Xbox Series X|S version here.
Two names, two track slots, zero confirmations — but the shape of this soundtrack is coming into focus, and it sounds enormous. Whenever the next placeholder blinks live, we’ll have the receipts. See you in Vice City.
