Rockstar has confirmed the full global schedule for Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look. On Thursday, August 27, the video debuts exclusively on Netflix at 3 p.m. EDT — and stays exclusive to the streaming platform for six hours. At 9 p.m. EDT the same day, it goes live for everyone on the official Rockstar Games YouTube channel and the Grand Theft Auto VI website.

The placement is a genuine first. Netflix and Rockstar have history — the two previously partnered to bring the original GTA trilogy to Netflix’s mobile games library — but this is the streaming giant hosting a world-first piece of GTA 6 marketing. “The anticipation and fandom around Grand Theft Auto VI is unprecedented, and we’re honored that Rockstar Games has partnered with us to debut the next part of the Grand Theft Auto story with Netflix members first,” said Brandon Riegg, Netflix’s VP of Nonfiction Series, when the premiere was announced.

One important note on naming: Rockstar is calling this An Extended Look — not Trailer 3. The studio has not disclosed the runtime or what exactly it will show. But between the title and the timing, the expectation is simple: the longest, most substantial official look at GTA 6 since the second trailer dropped more than 500 days ago.
