Vice Point

Overview

Vice Point is the upscale residential and commercial area of Vice City’s beachfront — shopping malls, luxury hotels, and condominium towers where wealthy retirees and drug lords live side by side.

Based on Miami Beach’s Mid-Beach and North Beach areas, Vice Point is quieter than Ocean Beach but wealthier. It’s where the people who made their money go to spend it. The mall is here. The marina is here.

In the Game

In Vice City, Vice Point is home to the North Point Mall (a key mission location), the marina, and several businesses Tommy can acquire. The mall features multiple shops, a food court, and several memorable missions.

Then vs Now

Vice Point in 1986 was the height of Florida luxury. In GTA 6’s modern setting, the equivalent area is still upscale but has evolved — luxury condos are more expensive, the retail landscape has changed, but the waterfront is still prime real estate.

Real-World Inspiration

Based on Miami Beach (North) and the Bal Harbour Shops — one of the most profitable shopping malls in America, with the highest sales per square foot of any US mall.

Trivia
