Overview

The pistol is GTA’s baseline weapon — the sidearm you always fall back on when everything else runs dry. Reliable, easy to find, and deadly in the right hands. Every GTA protagonist has started their journey holding one of these.

In Vice City, the Colt .45 is the standard pistol — found on police officers, in parked cars, and at Ammu-Nation. It’s not flashy, but it gets the job done. Three shots to drop an unarmored target. A headshot is always lethal.

How It Could Tie Into GTA 6

Pistols are confirmed for GTA 6 — both Lucia and Jason have signature sidearms (the K17 and Girardi ES9 respectively). The standard pistol will likely still be available as a backup weapon.
