It’s Official: GTA 6 Is Getting a 34-Track Album — Travis Scott, Keith Richards, Morgan Wallen and More

Yesterday we told you the Spotify billboards going up in LA and New York meant a GTA 6 music reveal was imminent — our read was “days, maybe a week.” It took less than 24 hours. Rockstar Games has now officially announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album: a 34-track original soundtrack featuring music made specifically for the game, with songs from Travis Scott, Keith Richards, Morgan Wallen, Yung Lean, Future, Metro Boomin, PinkPantheress and more. And six of those tracks are available to stream right now.

This is the moment the teasing was building toward. For the past week, a string of A-list artists posted cryptic GTA 6-stylized posters on social media while Spotify bought physical billboards for artwork Rockstar hadn’t even acknowledged. Now the curtain is up — and the lineup is somehow even bigger than the rumors suggested.

What Happened

Rockstar announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album via its official channels and the album’s own website, gtavi-thealbum.com. The full record contains 34 original tracks written and recorded for the game, and it arrives on November 19, 2026 — the same day GTA 6 launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Most of the tracklist is still under wraps: the majority of songs are listed only by their track number, with 28 of the 34 titles still hidden.

But six tracks were revealed today, and they’re streamable immediately:

The Vinyl Situation: Physical Media for a Game Launch

Here’s the fun irony of the day: the album is getting a full physical release — multiple, actually — while the game itself ships digital-first. Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album is up for pre-order now in three main configurations: a CD jewel case at $19.98, a double splatter vinyl at $49.98 (transparent magenta with blue splatter — very on-brand for Vice City), and a limited-edition liquid-filled vinyl at $124.98 with custom artwork. UK pricing runs £11 for the CD, £45 for the splatter vinyl and £109 for the limited edition — and that limited vinyl has already sold out on the UK store, hours after the announcement.

Beyond the standard editions, Rockstar is doing exclusive vinyl disc colorways, each with unique new artwork, through Blood Records, Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Target, Urban Outfitters and indie record shops. Physical vinyl ships from November 20, one day after the album’s digital release. How Yesterday’s Theories Aged

When the Spotify billboards went up, we laid out three theories. Theory one — a soundtrack reveal — is now confirmed fact. The artists posting Rockstar-style artwork were, as suspected, album features, and the reveal landed within a day of the billboard campaign.

Theory two — brand-new music recorded for the game — is also confirmed, and it’s the bigger deal. These aren’t licensed catalog tracks. All 34 songs are originals made for GTA 6, which is the Dr. Dre The Contract playbook from GTA Online scaled up to a full album with some of the biggest names in music across rap, country, reggaeton, electronic and — via a Rolling Stone — straight-up rock and roll. A Travis Scott track produced by a member of Daft Punk is the kind of credit that would headline any album release in any year; here it’s one of 34.

Theory three — in-game Spotify integration — remains unconfirmed. Nothing in today’s announcement mentions Spotify functionality inside the game, so file that one under “still possible, still unproven.” What Rockstar did promise is more soundtrack news “in the coming weeks,” including “the dynamic score, the next evolution of in-game radio, and more.” That phrasing — “next evolution of in-game radio” — should get every long-time fan’s attention. The radio stations have been the beating heart of Grand Theft Auto since the very first game, and Rockstar is explicitly telling us they’re changing.

Why This Lineup Matters

Step back and look at the six revealed tracks together, because the genre spread is the whole point. Yung Lean with Future and Metro Boomin covers the modern trap vanguard. Travis Scott brings global star power. Morgan Wallen is one of the biggest — and most polarizing — names in country music, which tells you GTA 6’s radio dial will stretch way beyond the ’80s synth-pop everyone associates with Vice City. Rauw Alejandro anchors the reggaeton side, which fits a Leonida modeled on Florida’s Latin cultural core. Fred again.. and Etienne de Crécy represent the electronic underground. And Keith Richards doing a song called “Bright Lights, Big City” is about as Vice City as it gets — the Rolling Stones guitarist soundtracking the neon strip his band was writing about before most of this lineup was born.

We already knew music was carrying the marketing: the game’s first trailer was carried by Tom Petty, and the Extended Look’s radio selection gave us 14 confirmed songs spanning Phil Collins to modern trap. But those were licensed needle-drops. Today’s announcement is different — it’s Rockstar commissioning an entire original record, which is the strongest signal yet that GTA 6’s soundscape is being treated as a core pillar of the game, not set dressing.

What This Means for GTA 6

First, the calendar: we are now exactly two months from launch. GTA 6 releases November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S — locked, confirmed, and now sharing its release date with a full album drop. Launch day is going to be a game release and a record release simultaneously, which is genuinely unprecedented.

Second, the campaign pattern is now unmistakable. The Extended Look premiered on Netflix and became the most-watched thing on the platform. Miami approved a real-world Vice City marketing takeover, even as local officials fight over how far it should go. Spotify bought billboards. Now there’s a physical album with retailer-exclusive vinyl colorways. Rockstar is not marketing GTA 6 as a video game — it’s marketing it as the entertainment event of the decade, and every partner with a platform wants a piece.

Third, the 28 hidden tracks are now the worst-kept secret worth waiting for. With reveals promised “in the coming weeks” and a two-month runway, expect tracklist drops, artist posters and possibly full radio station announcements right up until launch. The six songs out today are the first six cards off the deck, not the hand.
