GTA 6 NEWS · MERCH & COLLECTIBLES
GTA 6’s Official Merch Store Is Open — Headlined by an Alligator in Sunglasses Drinking a Cocktail
Six weeks before GTA 6 launches, Rockstar Games has flipped the switch on its official merchandise line — and the star of the whole collection is not Jason, not Lucia, not even the Vice City skyline. It’s an alligator named Macca, wearing sunglasses, drinking a cocktail, and living his absolute best life on a t-shirt near you.
As GameSpot reports, Rockstar announced the official GTA 6 merch collection on October 8, now available in the Rockstar Store. The lineup goes beyond shirts: branded hats in black, pink, and blue, a GTA 6 Zippo lighter, canvas tote bags, and vinyl stickers, among other offerings. And yes — in the detail that tells you everything about Rockstar’s sense of humor in 2026 — the company has official washing instructions for these shirts.
What Happened
The collection went live in the Rockstar Store ahead of GTA 6’s November 19 release, and GameSpot’s rundown of the lineup reads like a Vice City gift shop exploded: t-shirts sporting the Macca the Gator design and numerous others (including the GTA 6 logo), the black/pink/blue hat trio, a Zippo lighter, canvas totes, and vinyl stickers.
And then there’s the laundering directive, which is objectively the funniest sentence in official Rockstar communications this year: the t-shirts should be machine washed cold — and never put in the dryer. Hang them on a line to dry, Rockstar says. Somewhere in Edinburgh or New York, a brand manager wrote that with a straight face, and we respect it enormously.
This is also not the only thread in Rockstar’s apparel strategy. As GameSpot notes, the studio separately partnered with the NBA’s Miami Heat on a “Vice City Collection” of gear that’s available now — the same partnership behind the Vice City night the Heat are hosting one day before launch, which we covered in our full breakdown of the Heat takeover.

Meet Macca the Gator, the Merch Line’s Mascot
If you’ve been following our merch coverage, Macca is no stranger. The sunglasses-wearing, cocktail-sipping alligator is the star of Macca the Gator — a fictional in-universe TV show within the world of GTA 6, starring the titular anthropomorphic (and pink) reptile. Presumably we’ll learn more about the show when the game ships; GameSpot calls it intriguing, and we concur.
Macca already headlined the $399.99 Goodtime State — Vice City Collection collector’s box that Rockstar revealed in late September, and the fan backlash that followed — both of which we covered in depth (the reveal and the outrage). He even inspired fans to 3D-print the collector’s box items rather than pay box-office prices. Now the gator has his own retail shelf at shirt prices instead of box-set prices — and honestly, a $30-ish tee with a cocktail gator on it is an easier sell than a $400 box with no game in it.
Today’s store drop also squares with what the datamine scene has been telling us for weeks. Before the official reveal, merchandise listings tied to the Rockstar Store leaked what looked like the full catalog: dozens of items including parody tees, Keyline logo shirts in three colorways, Flexfit hats, a Manatees snapback, a money clip, a lobster-claw keychain, an “I ♥ VC” bumper sticker, and even a Burger Shot ringer tee — retro-brand satire you can physically wear. RockstarINTEL previewed a slice of the lineup ahead of release, and the items now live in the store match the pattern: the drip-feed is clearly building toward the full leaked list. In other words, if your favorite piece isn’t up yet, keep refreshing — Rockstar has been revealing new GTA 6 goods on a weekly Thursday rhythm, led by the vinyl soundtrack and the Goodtime State box.

How We Got Here: The Full Merch Blitz, Recapped
If you’ve lost track of Rockstar’s physical-product offensive — understandable, it’s been relentless — here’s the timeline. In mid-September, the studio announced GTA 6: The Album, a 34-track original soundtrack getting a physical release on CD and vinyl — yes, the game’s music is getting discs before the game does, a fact we examined in our album breakdown. A week later came the $399.99 Goodtime State box. Then came the influencer care packages: black Rockstar-branded boxes landing on doorsteps of creators like TmarTn, stuffed with hats, shirts, engraved Zippos, stickers and a Macca tote — kit that fans immediately said they’d rather have than the collector’s edition, and which reportedly matched listings datamined from the Rockstar Store. And now, finally, the store doors are open to everyone else.
There’s even a resale shadow hanging over all of it. When Rockstar gave away free commemorative GTA 6 shirts at Tokyo Game Show last month, the line closed in about ten minutes — and the shirts were being flipped online for hundreds of dollars within days, a saga we documented in our TGS scalping piece. Limited drops plus record-breaking demand is a scalper’s paradise, and the store line launching six weeks before the most anticipated game ever made checks both boxes. If you see a design you like, our advice is the same as it was for the collector’s box: don’t sleep on it, and don’t pay flipper prices — the whole point of a store line is that it’s supposed to restock.
What This Means for GTA 6
The timing tells the story. In the last two weeks Rockstar has: lit the $975,000 Welcome to Vice City sign atop Miami’s Kaseya Center, announced the Heat’s Vice City night, opened radio-station previews, released new screenshots, and now spun up a full retail merch line. That’s not a marketing campaign anymore — that’s an occupation. Every channel Rockstar can touch between now and November 19 is getting the Vice City treatment.
There’s a read on this merch line beyond commerce, too. For years, GTA’s fictional brands — Cluckin’ Bell, Burger Shot, Sprunk — existed as satire inside the games. Now they’re becoming real products you can buy in the real world, which is exactly the kind of irony GTA has always written into its own DNA. Rockstar selling you an alligator-drinking-a-cocktail shirt is the game’s satire of Florida consumer culture… becoming Florida consumer culture. Somewhere, a Rockstar writer is smiling.
If you’d rather wear the game itself than wait for it, the merch is live in the Rockstar Store now. And if your priorities are straight, you can pre-order GTA 6 for PS5 on Amazon or grab the Xbox version here — machine wash cold, hang to dry, and check out our waiting-survival guide while you count the days.
An alligator in sunglasses. A cocktail. A line to dry your shirt on. Only in Leonida — and now, only in the Rockstar Store.
