    Music in Vice City

Vice City has always been about the music. From V-Rock’s hair metal in 1986 to whatever Dre’Quan Priest is cooking up at Only Raw Records in 2026, music is the heartbeat of this city.

    1986: Love Fist & V-Rock

Love Fist was Vice City’s biggest band — a fictional Scottish rock group that parodied every excess of ’80s hair metal. Managed (sort of) by Kent Paul, the band was Tommy’s entree into Vice City’s celebrity world.

V-Rock was the radio station that played their music, along with classic tracks from Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osbourne, and Motley Crue. The radio stations of Vice City are still considered the best in GTA history.

    2026: Only Raw Records

Only Raw Records is the modern equivalent — a record label founded by Boobie Ike and Dre’Quan Priest. They need a hit. The Real Dimez are their potential stars.

    The Evolution

From hair metal to hip-hop. From radio stations to streaming platforms. From backstage passes to Instagram followers. Vice City’s music scene has evolved with the times, but the hunger is the same: everyone wants to be a star.

    Jason & Lucia

Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos are GTA 6’s dual protagonists — a couple forced to rely on each other in the most dangerous city in America. Their dynamic is the emotional core of the entire game.

    The Bonnie & Clyde Parallel

The comparison is impossible to ignore. Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow were a young couple who captured America’s imagination during the Great Depression, robbing banks and running from the law until they were gunned down in an ambush in 1934. Their story has been told and retold in film, music, and literature.

Jason and Lucia follow the same archetype: two people from the wrong side of the tracks, bound by love and desperation, making increasingly dangerous choices because they see no other way out. GTA 6’s tagline — ‘The darkest side of the sunniest place in America’ — perfectly captures their predicament.

How They Differ From Previous GTA Protagonists

Every previous GTA protagonist has been a lone wolf. Claude (GTA III): silent and alone. Tommy Vercetti (Vice City): building an empire solo. Niko Bellic (GTA IV): haunted and isolated. The GTA V trio were associates, not partners.

Jason and Lucia are different. They’re in a romantic relationship. They share a home. They rely on each other emotionally and operationally. When the story pushes them to the brink, the question isn’t just will they survive? — it’s will they survive together?

    The First Female GTA Protagonist

Lucia is the first playable female protagonist in the main GTA series. This isn’t a supporting character — she’s a co-lead. Rockstar has invested heavily in her story, her voice, and her perspective.

    Will Tommy Vercetti Return?

It’s the #1 question heading into GTA 6: will Tommy Vercetti — the protagonist of the original Vice City (1986) — appear in the sequel? Here’s a breakdown of every theory, ranked by likelihood.

Theory 1: Tommy Is Alive But Retired (Likely)

Tommy was last confirmed alive in 1992 (GTA: San Andreas). In 2026, he’d be approximately 75-78 years old. He could be living in seclusion, his empire dissolved or handed off. NPC dialogue could reference him as a legend of the old days without him appearing on-screen.

Theory 2: The Vercetti Gang Exists (Very Likely)

Even if Tommy himself doesn’t appear, his organization could. The Vercetti Gang was a major faction at the end of Vice City. Forty years later, it could have evolved into a modern criminal organization — referenced in missions, rivalries, or alliances.

Theory 3: The Vercetti Estate Is a Landmark (Likely)

The Diaz/Vercetti mansion on Starfish Island could be a landmark or mission location in GTA 6. Players could visit the old estate — now owned by someone else, or preserved as a historical site.

Theory 4: Tommy Appears via Flashback or Recording (Possible)

Ray Liotta passed away in 2022, making a full voiced return impossible. But Rockstar could use archival audio, photos, or NPC descriptions to reference Tommy’s past without new voice acting.

Theory 5: Tommy Is Dead (Possible)

It’s possible that Tommy died between games — either from old age, assassination, or a final showdown. His death could be part of the backstory driving modern Vice City’s criminal landscape.

The Vintage Vice City Pack Connection

The pre-order bonus is called the Vintage Vice City Pack — featuring ’80s-style vehicles and items. Rockstar is leaning hard into nostalgia. This suggests they know how much players want Vice City connections.

Characters & Lore · Antagonist Lineage

    Vice City’s Crime Lords

Every GTA game needs a crime lord — the established power that the protagonist must navigate, ally with, or overthrow. Vice City has had several across its history. Here’s the complete lineage.

    1986: Ricardo Diaz

The original Vice City kingpin. Colombian drug lord. Paranoid, eccentric, and lethal. Owned the mansion, the drugs, and the city — until Tommy Vercetti took it all. Read his full profile.

    1986: Sonny Forelli

The mob boss from Liberty City who sent Tommy to Vice City — and then tried to take his empire. Betrayed Tommy in the finale. Read his full profile.

    2026: Raul Bautista

GTA 6’s confirmed power player. An established figure in Leonida’s criminal network. Details are emerging, but he fills the same archetype as Diaz — the king of the hill. Read his full profile.

    2026: Boobie Ike

A Vice City legend who went legitimate — real estate, strip club, recording studio. But old habits die hard. Read his full profile.

    The Pattern

In every era, Vice City has a power structure. In the ’80s, it was drug cartels and Mafia families. In the modern era, it’s diversified empires and corporate fronts. The game changes; the power dynamics don’t.

GTA 6 Characters: The Full Cast Guide

*Meet Jason, Lucia, and the crew that brings Vice City to life.*

Grand Theft Auto VI introduces the franchise’s first dual-protagonist system with a male-female duo at the center. Here’s everything we know about the cast of GTA 6.

    The Protagonists

    Lucia

    The franchise’s first female lead.

Lucia is the heart of GTA 6’s story. Shown in the debut trailer being released from prison, she’s a woman with a past who’s determined to build a future — by any means necessary.

    | Detail | Info |
    |——–|——|
    | Role | Protagonist (playable) |
    | Background | Recently released from Leonida State Penitentiary |
    | Partner | Jason |
    | Dynamic | Inspired by Bonnie & Clyde |
    | First Appearance | Trailer 1 (December 2023) |

Lucia represents a milestone for the GTA series — the first playable female protagonist in the main numbered entries. Her story appears deeply personal, centered on her relationship with Jason and her determination to make it in Vice City’s criminal underworld.

    Jason

The other half of Vice City’s most wanted couple.

Jason is Lucia’s partner — in life and in crime. Where Lucia brings intensity and determination, Jason brings street smarts and connections to Vice City’s underworld.

    | Detail | Info |
    |——–|——|
    | Role | Protagonist (playable) |
    | Background | Connected to Vice City’s criminal networks |
    | Partner | Lucia |
    | Dynamic | The Clyde to Lucia’s Bonnie |
    | First Appearance | Trailer 2 (May 2025) |

The chemistry between Jason and Lucia is central to the story. The trailers show a couple who trust each other completely while taking on increasingly dangerous jobs.

    Supporting Characters

*(This section will be expanded as more characters are revealed in trailers and at launch.)*

    The Prison Guard

Seen in Trailer 1 processing Lucia’s release — establishing the tone of Vice City’s law enforcement.

    Club Owner / Crime Boss

Various figures from Vice City’s underworld appear in trailer footage, suggesting a web of criminal contacts, employers, and rivals.

    Voice Actors

Rockstar typically uses unknown or lesser-known actors for lead roles (as they did with GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2). Official voice cast announcements typically come closer to or after launch.

    The Bonnie & Clyde Dynamic

The Jason-Lucia partnership is the emotional core of GTA 6. Unlike GTA 5’s three-protagonist system (Michael, Franklin, Trevor) where characters had separate storylines, Jason and Lucia’s narratives are intertwined — they’re a couple navigating Vice City together.

    This means:
    – Mission structure will likely involve both characters
    – Players may switch between them during missions
    – Their relationship drives the emotional stakes
    – Expect story beats about loyalty, trust, and ambition

How Characters Work in GTA 6

Based on what Rockstar has shown:

    1. Dual Protagonist Switching — Like GTA 5’s character switching, but more integrated since Jason and Lucia are partners
    2. Special Abilities — Each character likely has unique skills (GTA 5 had bullet time, driving focus, rage mode)
    3. Relationship System — Their bond may affect gameplay in new ways
    4. Individual Storylines — Each has their own contacts, missions, and arc within the larger story
